Wilkes was created to act as a go between between R&D and the Humans. It's not realistic to assume R&D will be talking to General Tungsten in every storyline. Wilkes is sorta a gray character. He is here more or less to be an interface character.

needs a bit more fleshing out but I think you know that already. I'd like you to see some of the things I have planned before bringing him fully into play, as it might not be entirely necessary but I still like the concept of the character thus far and think he could be useful.
