So, I'm still not clear about something and maybe this is just me, but this page sums up my proble with the current arc: just because they're more benevolent than the last bunch, why aren't folks remembering that they're here to colonize our planet and take it over?

@aralyn: I'm sure there are reasons we're not just driving them out. A big one is probably that they are vastly technologically superior, and as has been shown do not have the non-lethal policy we do. We stay on their good side, they don't turn us into rugs and seat cushions. Maybe if things get problematic we'll see about getting rid of them...

We don't know how much the colonization policies of the Darnathi have changed.

It's entirely possible that the Darnathi are taking a policy of peaceful coexistence with new colonies and newly encountered civilizations.

Granted, that's got a grain of salt to take with it, as Tungsten DID end up getting Beryl to weaken/infect the Overlord's forces to protect their arrival.

So, I'm not sure which way the new Darnathi will go.
