The only other time I ever saw Elderberry wine was in the play and movie "Arsenic and Old Lace". This isn't a reference to that, is it? LOL.

Elderberry Wine is a fairly common alcoholic beverage in middle-ages England. And perhaps still is, I've not really asked. The popularity of the wine is part of the reason why "your father smelt of elderberries" is an insult, it means your father was a dunkard. Hector came to our world originally settling in England and then moved to the americas with the colonization effort. But during his time in europe he developed a taste for Elderberry Wine. lol.
