Someone's been reading spooky stories aloud, or.., someone has a mind-meld type of thing going on.

Awkward reaction in 5...
General alarm sounding in 10... Good timing for Cobalt, as it means the awkwardness should last only 5 seconds! XD

As serious and sad as this comic is at the moment, I found myself laughing at the last panel.
It's the equivalent of finding Bushido in the Bedroom in Final Fantasy VI in Cyan's Chest.

@philthecorgi, It is a rule that Shakespeare also employed when you can see rather nicely in "the play" after Macbeth and his wife murder the king, there's a comedic scene with a drunk night watchman to help lighten the mood a little. And that's just one example of where he used some small bits of comedy after heavy scenes. The Lion King which is modeled after a shakespearean play, has the same formula set up after Mufasa's death we meet Timon and Pumbaa. YAY FOR LEARNING THINGS ABOUT LITERARY STRUCTURE C:

I'll hand to Fox, she knows her stuff.
I did MacBeth in high school and I literally forgot about the guard post scene. It was the best scene I ever did, mind you 12 years ago. |
