Getting old is no fun

Well yes, but Titan crushed his leg over 10 years ago, and the illness that brought him to the lair tore up his throat and vocal chords. (in the print version it's easier to see but if you notice in the color version of the comic, Darius' font starts out different, and smoother, than the font he has now.) No age isn't helping him any but he definately didn't get a good hand dealt to him either.

I've also mentioned, granted, mostly in-stream that Darius looks older than he actually is. At least by both human and darnathi standards. If he were a human he'd be about 45.

I actually had not noticed the thing about his voice. It doesn't hurt when he talks does it?

I actually had not noticed the thing about his voice. It doesn't hurt when he talks does it?

When he was sick, it did,(and if he has illnesses involving his throat it hurts more than it might normally) but he's healed enough that it doesn't hurt when he speaks. But the damage effected his voice similarly to a chain-smoker's voice would be more gravely when they spoke.
