Panel 3 of yesterday's comic was also a silent request from the General to Apex.

Apex is of course willing to oblige such a request during a rescue.

Even as he's making sure Artemis has an easy climb up to his back, there's also a part of Apex that is marveling at how teeny Artemis is when compared to him.

Also, Panel 1 thoughts: "Yes, this is as awkward for me as it is for you."

If Artemis is just a bit larger than the largest Earth house cat, and Apex is slightly larger than a Clydesdale... the size differences make perfect sense.

Artemis is 4 feet 10 inches tall, with a lighter frame than most people.

Apex is a draft horse who stands about 6 feet at the shoulder.

General Steele head only comes up to the top of Apex' shoulders, hence why Artemis seems so teeny here.

Because almost everyone seems teeny when placed next to Apex. Wink
