Brief character description:  Razor Ref (soon to be updated)

An independent, zealous character,  Razor takes every challenge thrown at him by the horns with a toothy smile on his face. In other words, he’s a huge adrenaline junkie. He can come off a bit cocky to some, as he can be a little TOO confident in his own power,  and he takes it rather hard when he  fails. His independence makes it hard for him good team player, something working under the Overlord is sure to fix. Over the years, he has gained a pretty tolerant, patient nature (which wasn't always the case), but  if someone strikes the wrong chord or push him too far, they just might set off the nasty temper of his childhood self . He is, however, rather friendly, willing to talk to anyone and everyone…this goes for any flirting as well. He doesn’t discriminate. True to his name sake, he’s sharp and able to learn and adapt quickly to most situations…unless its too  'science-y'…then he might need some extra guidance. Has a great love for kickboxing, surfing, harmless pranks/jokes, and a good musical jam session with friends and his guitar, "Charlotte".

Character background/history:

Prior signing up for boot camp, Razor’s life had its share of ups and downs. He grew up on his home island of Peeperuare, attending school, playing sports, the works! Even as a young pup, it wasn't hard to tell that he loved a challenge. If he was told he couldn’t do something, he’d find a way to do it, regardless of how many broken bones he’d end up with. His vicarious, rebellious way of living could be attributed to the discrimination he faced, due to the naturally darker colored attributes of his scales. He didn't want to allow himself to be limited by others because of the color of his skin and it wasn't uncommon for him to get into fights over that fact. His home life also wasn't the best which didn't do well for his "its me against the world" attitude as youth. It was an chip on his shoulder he carried with him, even when he and his mother moved to Tiaanuare for a better way of life.

Being an energetic kid, his mother figured it would be a good  idea to put him in kickboxing classes that were being held near his town, anything that would curb that boundless, almost destructive energy he'd developed during his time on his birth island. That turned out to be both a blessing and a curse, as he became very very very good, but at the cost of many of his mother’s favorite flower pots since he practiced relentlessly. However, it did prove to make him MUCH less aggressive and improve his over all personality with the discipline that came with learning such a sport. When he was ready for college,  he chose to head Aukate to further his education,  specializing in  physical therapy and rehabilitation. It was during his college years he grew a HUGE  appreciation for the amount of diversity the island held, and the fact that such differences were embraced! Such a stark contrast from the island he was born on and lead to a time of self discovery as he pursued his degree. It was an experience he felt changed his way of thinking for the better. After receiving his degree, he returned to his home on Tiannuare, working as a fisherman with his step father and continuing his kickboxing training. Occasionally, he would put his degree to use, helping injured miners and the like, but for the most part....he was at a loss about what more he would do for his future.

A few months later he learned of the recruitment. An opportunity to return to Aukate and work for the Overlord? Sounded like a dream come true if he could make the cut! He felt this would be the ultimate challenge for him, to test his metal against others and prove himself worthy of becoming one of the Overlord’s minions. He couldn't sign up fast enough!

Yay! Good to have you back Razor! (Also, the link you shared of your ref doesn't seem to work. Maybe it's just me, but if someone could confirm, thank you!) Also don't forget to post this is sounding board so Fox or the admins can check it!

Kinda beefed up his profile a bit more while I was at it!

Sweet! The link works now, and I can't to see what Razor has in store for us during bootcamp. I remember the sparring match between Tamara and I, and I kind of was hoping Tigermark would have us all spar each other some point. Would be interesting to see how these two go at it!

Oh good! So glad to hear it! Probably going to update it! Seeing as I've improved a bit!

That would be one awesome spar oh my gosh! I really loved Razor's and Kier's interactions, so Im pretty sure the outcome would be pretty great! Like the time Razor got SAT on! hah! He won't make the same mistake twice, Kier!

Right! I did enjoy them. And Keir isn't much of the type to do that. As much as it will hurt him, he tries to remain honorable when doing things, always looking for the good in a situation. I don't know if you've read his backstory yet, but he isn't really one to do something he doesn't see right. And although it was funny, Keir would more than likely place the end of the prod near Razor than actually pin him.... XD

Oh, and about updating your reference: I can't wait! I actually need to redo Keir's.... the one I have currently on FA is kind of..... crap. (Also from two years ago, have seriously improved since then!)

I'd love for us all to do sparring matches between ourselves. A kind of friendly competition, which would be fun given our vastly different sparring styles.

I guess we could do it once RP restart and we're out of bootcamp. ^^

And I loved doing the match between Tam and Keir, it was much fun!
