Artemis never gives up does she. Really gotta admire that.

Yeah, she won't quit until she's incapacitated or dead!
Speaking of, Darius could use some medical care!

A rather good nature and fortitude to not have bled out. Knife wounds are nasty, especially a deep puncture like that...

Was it a deep puncture? The attack came from on the ground and by surprise, but there likely wasn't a lot of time to aim, mainly because fake death throes and deceptive "pain" flailing.

So that cut on Darius side and/or back might be more shallow than intended.

The blade looks a good half foot or more. While not serrated thankfully, that kind of thing can bleed forever because of how much damage it does internally to more than one place on our squishy insides.

Never put Artemis in a Cat carrier... especially a round one.

This was difficult to portray, as I didn't have a lot of time/space to show the injury, but Darius was not /stabbed/. His back was badly slashed but the injury itself is maybe an inch deep because it gashed his back. It's about four inches long so still a bloody, alarming injury and he will need medical attention for it but not a 6-inch deep stab wound that probably would have killed him.
